Bush thanks soldiers and their families for their service and sacrifices.

President Bush arrives in Ft. Hood to the sound of cheering soldiers and civilians.

Presidential Visit

I just got home from "seeing" the President speak to soldiers at Ft. Hood. I was in a sea of green and the occasional tan to hear Bush talk of hope for the future of Iraq. There were a lot of yells and screams when Bush mentioned soldiers coming home. This is what we all want to hear, regardless if we know any soldiers personally or not. The military is in Iraq to secure that country and train their own people to protect and defend that country. That has been a primary goal since this war started. So I yelled and screamed too when Bush said that soldiers would come home soon and stay home. I am so proud of all the soldiers I have met and those that I have not, because they serve a great country and sacrifice so much.
