Crawling!

Mackenzie has been army crawling for quite awhile now, but just recently she has figured out how to keep her knees underneath her. She's getting pretty fast! Now we need to really get on our baby proofing! Here are some videos!!!!

So I'm now in my last year before the big 3 0! It was on a Thursday and we have a baby, so no big blowout for us! We did go eat Japanese and ate Cole's homemade cake when we got home! Yummy!!!!!!

9 Months!!!!!

I went to the hospital to visit a friend who just gave birth to a baby and I told her that 9 months ago I was here with a one day-old baby, totally clueless! Ahhhh, how times change. Now I have a 9 month old and I'm still clueless:) It seems every time I think I have Mackenzie all figured out, she changes!
Stats from the pediatrician: weight- 21 lbs, 5.5 oz (85%), length- 28.25 inches (65%)

Mackenzie's Got Rhythm

It seems Mackenzie likes to rock out with Daddy! She loves music and rocks back and forth whenever a song comes on the radio or TV.

Welcome to my crib!

So Mackenzie has learned how to sit up on her own (from hands and knees to sitting up) and now does it every time I put her down in the crib for nap time. We lowered the crib awhile ago and it's a good thing. Sometimes I'll go in there and try to lay her back down but then she just rolls over, gets on her hands and knees, and sit up (all while smiling at me). But she has learned to adapt (as you can see in the picture).

Let it snow!

So we got some of that snow down here in southern Alabama. It was coming down pretty thick, but there wasn't any accumulation because it was 70 degrees the day before. We were able to take some pictures to see the snow falling.

Fun at the Playground!

Today was beautiful. not a cloud in the sky and 70 degree weather! I decided to take Mackenzie to one of the many (over 100 I heard) little playgrounds on Fort Rucker. They have little baby swings made just for Mackenzie! I think she had fun!

Mackenzie's New Game

So Mackenzie is kinda crawling (modified army crawl) which is really cute. She also loves to knock over Mom's blocks and laugh, laugh, laugh about it. Check out the video!

Ummmm.... 8 Months!

Wow, I feel like I just did her seven month update! Mackenzie is growing up so fast! Her personality is really starting to develop! She is the happiest baby I've ever known. People ask me a lot if she's happy all the time and I say yes! She's really a delight to hang out with all day long! She's starting to army crawl and can get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. She's already starting to terrorize Gus and Ginger (see post below). Her next well baby visit isn't until 9 months, but I did weigh her at the gym last week and she was 21.5 pounds!

Here kitty-kitty!

It seems Mackenzie's favorite toy is Gus the cat. She laughs and smiles whenever Gus is brave enough to come around her when she's playing. Seriously this cat is so patient. Mackenzie pulls his hair and hits him and he just lays there or will move but come right back!

What's under the bed?

Sometimes when I'm getting ready in our bathroom, I'll let Mackenzie roll around on the carpet in our bedroom (she's outgrowing her bouncer). I went to grab something from the bathroom cabinet and found Mackenzie in this position. She's so sneaky!

This is how I found Mackenzie when I went to check on her during nap time. Don't worry she's still breathing. She loves to roll around when she's going to sleep and just ends up on her stomach!

Baby Dedication

Mackenzie was dedicated in our church on Sunday! She stayed in church through the whole service because it was all music and did great!

Mackenzie Meets Santa
