The city of New Orleans is still under several feet of water and many democrats are calling for a Katrina Commission.
Michelle Malkin puts is best when she calls this a "Bush Bash". These politicians don't want to "figure out what went wrong" they want to make the president look bad. If they really wanted to prevent this from happening again they would be asking the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana some serious questions.

A commission is a good idea, because everyone can find out what went wrong. The only way to fix mistakes is to figure out what the mistakes were!
It will only be a "Bush bash" if Bush did something wrong.
This is Marty.
If you are not willing to ask the same questions to the Mayor and the Governor, then you are trying to make political hay at Bush's expense.
The Media is not going to ask them why they did not spend the money that they were givien by the federal government properly. That would be racist and sexist, since they are minorites.
It is always the white man's fault. This time that white man is George W. Bush. Right... (not)
By the way I understand it, he could not do anything until the Governor declared a natural disaster.
