The Left Just Can't Get Over It!

So we all know that Bush won Ohio and thus won the election, right? So why can't those that lost (i.e. the Left, the Greenies) accept the results and go on with celebrating the new year. So we've got some third-party candidates that want another recount. Isn't that redundant, another RE-count. The votes have already been counted again and guess what, Bush won big. Give it a rest. So now we've got some Congressmen that plan on objecting to the votes of the Ohio electors when the electoral College Ballots are opened before the joint session of Congress next Thursday. Guess who's the leader of this typical pack, that's right, my man John Conyers. And guess who's a part of this Motley Crue, Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. Now if memory serves me right, she just got reelected this November. She's not even technically in the House yet. Doesn't she have some Islamic terrorist to meet with and accept money from.

The UN Thinks We're Stingy?

I personally think we may be too nice and too giving. Who wants to give aid to those that will just as soon as turn around and stab us in the back. We're giving out billions of dollars worth of aid and we're getting nothing back from it. Here are some numbers dealing with the money we give to the UN and what we get back in return, a lot of oposition!

Why Do We Pay Billions to the United Nations?
The United States gives out $13.3 billion tax dollars in direct Foreign Aid annually. The United States is above and beyond the single most generous benefactor of the United Nations, donating $2.4 billion dollars of YOUR money, to primarily third-world dictators. This amount is 25% of the United Nations budget. In addition, the United States also gives another $1.4 billion tax dollars to United Nations' programs and agencies. The American taxpayers fund more for the United Nations than ALL of the other 177 member nations COMBINED.What most Americans do not realize is that the vast majority of the recipients of the of US Foreign Aid routinely vote against the wishes of the United States in the United Nations at an average rate of 74%. In other words, of the $13.3 billion tax dollars invested in direct Foreign Aid only about 26% or $3.5 billion went to support people whoendorsed American initiatives or causes. A staggering $9.8 billion tax dollars went to causes and people who were and are in open and direct opposition to the United States' interests and objectives.Listed below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations' records:

Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time.
Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time.
Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time.
United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.
Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.
Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.
Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.
Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.
Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.
Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.
Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.
India votes against the United States 81% of the time.
Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.
Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.

US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:
Egypt, for example, after voting 79%of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.
Jordan votes 71% against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
Pakistan votes 75% against the United States receives $6,721,000 annually.
India votes 81% against the United States receives $143,699,000.

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who have to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes.

Tsunami Videos

Well I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the Tsunami that hit in south Asia. Here is a link to some video of it hitting. What's amazing is all the people walking on the beach ands standing around watching all the big waves. It's hard to believe that there was no warning for these people. What a mess!

Homeless?

Well here I am at work again (just taking a break), back in Texas from my holiday in Georgia. On the plane ride back I started to think about where my home is. It's confusing to say that I'm going 'home' for the holidays and then say to everyone back 'home' that I'm returning 'home' soon. Can I say home #1 and home #2?
They say that home is where the heart is. Well my heart is split. My family and friends are in GA while my work and new friends (not to mention all my stuff) are here in TX. I have a dilemma. The Lord wants me here (the reasons are still being examined) so this is where I am. It's foolish of me to live and anticipate exclusively for my next visit home. That can lead to a sad and lonely stretch of months with only a couple of days to be enjoyed. Is it worth it?
I say I can keep part of my heart, and subsequent home, in GA and learn to love TX (or wherever I may go) and start another home here.

The Beginning of Understanding

This is a very insightful article not only for us red-staters, but also for those that reside in blue states. They claim that people that voted for Bush are stupid. I guess they call anything they can't understand and have never experienced stupid. Some people may call that close-minded. Hmmm, the pot calling the kettle black, maybe!

No Respect!

Well it looks like the Auburn football team is being shafted by the BCS. Despite a perfect season, they will not be able to vie for the national championship. Maybe it's the red and black that is coursing through my veins, but I have a hard time feeling sorry for the team. I guess this gives the opponents of the BCS one more thing to add to their lifts of grievances against that imperfect system. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing USC and OU battle it out. Oh and we can't forget the Bulldawgs playing in Tampa on January 1st. Go Dawgs!

God Help Us!

There is a new website where despairing, moral (I use that adjective lightly) liberals can go and spout out and prove to the red states that they too are moral. God help us if these contributors actually think that these are moral values. God help us that these people actually think the government is the vehicle for morality. Below are some of the contributions:

"Slavery is wrong. Forcing women to carry their unwanted tissue to term would enslave them for 9 months or 18 years. "

"The golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Also, Thomas Paine's statement that "My country is the world, and my religion is to do good." That said: Greed is bad. Cruelty to people or animals is bad. War is bad. Killing is bad. Stealing is bad. Deception is bad. Abuse of power is bad. Oppression is bad. The Bush administration is guilty of all these bad things, so they are very bad indeed."

"My moral values are:1. Quality public education for all. A right, not a privilege.2. A single payer health care system with coverage for all.3. The right to marry whomever once chooses.4. Denying women information about their healthcare, including contraception and abortion jeopardizes their well-being. Outlawing abortion and contraception would be a moral outrage.5. Kindness to animals. Treating the environment gently.6. Decent housing and welfare benefits for the poor. It makes no sense to not have these subsidies.7. Progressive income taxes are the most equitable form of income distribution. We pay a great deal in taxes, and we are happy to do it. It's the price of living in a civilized society.8. Income certainty and medical coverage for all seniors.9. Academic freedom, scientific research, honest intellectual exchange.10. Honesty in government."

The lack of understanding of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus are laughable. These people spout morals to help the poor and give healthcare to everyone (through the government of course) but ignore the human rights violation under Saddam and the Taliban. It's outrageous the hypocrisy streaming from the left. They have no idea what moral values are and it was obvious on November 3rd.

Ahhhh Thanksgiving!

As I prepare for Thanksgiving I am reminded what a great country we have here in the US. As I have my parents and my grandmother sign the Thanksgiving Guest Liability ad Indemnification Agreement, I am reminded of the freedoms that we enjoy. We have the freedom to sue anyone we want and make fraudulent claims against organizations because of our poor choices. What a great country! We also have the freedom to call anyone and everyone stupid for standing up for what they believe and how they vote. We also have the freedom of religion in this country, although we can't comment about the one true God in our schools and in public (it's also the one that this country's ideals were based upon) we do have the freedom to pray to Allah in our schools or any other made up god we want to. Wow, this is just great (my cheeks are hurting from smiling so much).

I will leave you with some wisdom on Abraham Lincoln:

We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven. We have been preserved, the many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to God that made us!

Thanks be to God!

It's Time for the UN to GO!

Although there are many people that have turned a blind eye to the corruptions of the UN, the fact is that the UN has done more harm than good. Currently we are hearing about reports coming out about the extent of the corruptions in the Oil-for-Food program. Below are links to various articles that explain this plight and why it's time to put an end to this organization.

Kerry Concedes...Finally!

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush won a second term from a divided and anxious nation, his promise of steady, strong wartime leadership trumping John Kerry's fresh-start approach to Iraq and joblessness. After a long, tense night of vote counting, the Democrat called Bush Wednesday to concede Ohio and the presidency, The Associated Press learned.

Kerry ended his quest, concluding one of the most expensive and bitterly contested races on record, with a call to the president shortly after 11 a.m. EST, according to two officials familiar with the conversation.

The victory gave Bush four more years to pursue the war on terror and a conservative, tax-cutting agenda - and probably the opportunity to name one or more justices to an aging Supreme Court.

He also will preside over expanded Republican majorities in Congress.

"Congratulations, Mr. President," Kerry said in the conversation described by sources as lasting less than five minutes. One of the sources was Republican, the other a Democrat.

The Democratic source said Bush called Kerry a worthy, tough and honorable opponent. Kerry told Bush the country was too divided, the source said, and Bush agreed. "We really have to do something about it," Kerry said according to the Democratic official.

Kerry placed his call after weighing unattractive options overnight. With Bush holding fast to a six-figure lead in make-or-break Ohio, Kerry could give up or trigger a struggle that would have stirred memories of the bitter recount in Florida that propelled Bush to the White House in 2000.

I Guess We Know Who bin Laden Would Vote For

November 1, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Osama bin Laden warned in his October Surprise video that he will be closely monitoring the state-by-state election returns in tomorrow's presidential race — and will spare any state that votes against President Bush from being attacked, according to a new analysis of his statement.
The respected Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates Arabic media and Internet sites, said initial translations of a key portion of bin Laden's video rant to the American people Friday night missed an ostentatious bid by the Saudi-born terror master to divide American voters and tilt the election towards Democratic challenger John Kerry.
MEMRI said radical Islamist commentators monitored over the Internet this past weekend also interpreted the key passage of bin Laden's diatribe to mean that any U.S. state that votes to elect Bush on Tuesday will be considered an "enemy" and any state that votes for Kerry has "chosen to make peace with us."
The statement in question is when bin Laden said on the tape: "Your security is up to you, and any state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security."
That sentence followed a lengthy passage in the video in which bin Laden launches personal attacks on the president.
Yigal Carmon, president of MEMRI, said bin Laden used the Arabic term "ay-wilaya" to refer to a "state" in that sentence.
That term "specifically refers to an American state, like Tennessee," Carmon said, adding that if bin Laden were referring to a "country" he would have used the Arabic word "dawla."
MEMRI also translated an analysis of bin Laden's statement from the Islamist Web site al-Qal'a, well known for posting al-Qaeda messages, which agreed that bin Laden's use of the word "ay-wilaya" was meant as a "warning to every U.S state separately."
"It means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president, it means that it chose to fight us and we will consider it an enemy to us, and any state that will vote against Bush, it means that it chose to make peace with us and we will not characterize it as an enemy," the Web site said, according to MEMRI's translation.

Stop The Insanity!!!!

Who else is ready for this election season to be over? I'm also sick of blatent voter fraud that is happening in most of the battleground states. I was wondering when the democrats would stoop this low. Their hatred for all things right, meaning conservative and true, has taken on a whole new face.

Politics moving into the classroom

Some celebrities believe that, because they had a top ten song or won an Emmy, they are qualified to speak on issues ranging from stem cell research to the environment. More disturbing is when public school teachers try to indoctrinate our children instead of educating them. I was shown a handout given to a sixth grade class in Pulaski, NY, that was created by the teacher to gauge which presidential candidate students would endorse.
The questions on the handout had a clear liberal slant. For example, the survey said if you are "against giving minorities equal opportunities," that means you support Bush, and if you support "equal opportunities," then Kerry is your man. You also support Bush if you want to ban allowing "people from other countries to move to America," yet no distinction is made between legal and illegal immigration. I can assure you that this type of assignment is being given in many of our public schools. We as parents must remember to not only be informed voters but to educate our children as well. Singers should stick to singing and teachers should stick to teaching the three R's.

Kerry's Afghan Amnesia

A really interesting and insighful article from the Washington Post

Below is just a tidbit of it...

Within days of Sept. 11, the clueless airhead president that inhabits Michael Moore's films and Tina Brown's dinner parties had done this: forced Pakistan into alliance with us, isolated the Taliban, secured military cooperation from Afghanistan's northern neighbors, and authorized a radical war plan involving just a handful of Americans on the ground, using high technology and local militias to utterly rout the Taliban.
President Bush put in place a military campaign that did in two months what everyone had said was impossible: defeat an entrenched, fanatical, ruthless regime in a territory that had forced the great British and Soviet empires into ignominious retreat. Bush followed that by creating in less than three years a fledgling pro-American democracy in a land that had no history of democratic culture and was just emerging from 25 years of civil war.
This is all barely remembered and barely noted. Most amazing of all, John Kerry has managed to transform our Afghan venture into a failure -- a botched operation in which Bush let Osama bin Laden get away because he "outsourced" bin Laden's capture to "warlords" in the battle of Tora Bora.
Outsourced? The entire Afghan war was outsourced. How does Kerry think we won it? How did Mazar-e Sharif, Kabul and Kandahar fall? Stormed by thousands of American GIs? They fell to the "warlords" we had enlisted, supported and directed. It was their militias that overran the Taliban.

I have plenty of room!!!

Texans, If Kerry Should Win--Let's Secede

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union (please refer to the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848).

We Texans love y'all, but we'll have to take action if John Kerry should win this
presidential election, over George W. Bush. And we'll miss you all, too.

Texas has given all those complainers plenty of time to get used to the results. After seeing the whiners along the campaign route, the folks from Texas are considering taking matters into our own hands.

Here's our solution:

#1--John Kerry will just have to be contented with being the President of the United States--all 49 of them.

#2--We can secede from the union and have George W. Bush as the President of the Republic of Texas.

So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?

1. NASA is just south of Houston, Texas. We will control the space industry.

2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States.

3. Defense industry? We have over 65% of it. The expression ''Don't mess with Texas'' will take on a whole new meaning.

4. Oil? We can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Yankee states? Sorry about that.

5. Natural Gas? Again, we have all we need and it's too bad about those northern states. John Kerry will figure a way to keep them warm...

6. Computer Industry? We currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications, with small concerns like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor, Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Semiconductor, Delphi, Nortel, Alcatel, etc. The list goes on and on.

7. Health Centers? We have the largest research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers, and the top trauma units in the world, plus other large health planning centers.

8. We have enough colleges to keep us going with UT Texas, A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, SMU, University of Houston, Abilene Christian, Baylor, UNT, Texas Women's University. Anyway, ivy grows better in the South.

9. We have a ready supply of workers. We can just open the border when we need some more.

10. We have control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.

11. In case of foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard, and the Texas Air National Guard. We don't have an army but since everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an army in 24 hours if we need it. If the situation really gets bad, we can always call Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over a couple of Texas Rangers.

12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, several types of grain, fruit, and vegetables. And let's not forget the seafood from the Gulf. And everybody down here knows how to cook them, so that they taste good. Don't need to import any food.

This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape. There isn't a thing out there that we need and don't have.

Now to the rest of the United States under a President Kerry: Since you won't have the refineries to get gas for your cars, only President Kerry will be able to drive around in his 9-miles-per-gallon SUV. The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.

You won't have any TV as the space center in Houston will cut off foreign communications. You won't have any natural gas to heat your homes, but since Mr. Kerry has predicted global warming, you will not need the gas.

Signed: The People of Texas

Compliments of Blogs for Bush

Thank You, President Bush

Written by guest blogger Katherine Lambert

American Liberty is the highest achievement in human history. It was and is the perpetual grand experiment that has taken a group of colonies and turned it into the most powerful nation on earth. America is a strong and unified voice for freedom in the world. American Liberty has been sustained because the construct on which it is produced is Democracy. Democracy is a Loom that weaves a cloth of strength, beauty, and unity, as unique and recognizable as the American Flag and the Society it represents. The Construct of the Loom of Democracy is simple and marvelous, designed by our forefathers for greatness from the beginning. The high beam is that of the Declaration of Independence. The ropes are the Bill of Rights strung upon the warp of the Constitution, weighted by the balancing tensions of our courts and laws. All these things stand firm as the ever moving shuttle of Self Government weaves in concordance with the powerful engine of American Free Markets. America's Military defends this Loom as it stretches from shore to shore of this nation, this Loom of Democracy uniting different, individual threads of people, cultures and ideas into the Indivisible Fabric of One Nation, Under God with Liberty and Justice for All.
We are proud of our Democracy, of our Flag and of our Freedom. To the Blame America First crowd, to the intellectual apologists, and cynical conveyors of civil unrest we who love America as patriots and citizens of the Great Melting Pot and believers in George Walker Bush, would like to speak this truth to your divisive theories. We rest upon this powerful example of our America. We as citizens of this Land of Liberty have always shared Liberty with conquered foe and friend alike. On the shores of Normandy France 60 years ago, a Frenchman once asked an American Patriot, what will the lion's share of America's victory be? And the Patriot replied, "Just a place to bury our Fallen American Soldiers." And there, on foreign soil, the American Soldiers of Courage rest in hallowed majesty. And Liberty lives there still and every year Patriots come there to remember with Everlasting Gratitude their last full measure of devotion.
Soon, very soon, another Loom of Democracy will begin its weaving to combine, Kurds, Baathist, Shites, Christians and others into their own indivisible national fabric of freedom. We believe, in our American heart, that one day when the battleground of Iraq has grown quiet in days of peaceful, secure democracy it will provide Liberty with another place to live on. Another nation will learn that the lion's share of an American Victory was not treasure or forced allegiance to the United States but a simple memorial to the American soldier fallen far from home. American Soldiers who selflessly stepped into the breach of chaos caused by Terrorism the Terrible Threat of our age and on whose strong shoulders the masses of Iraqi and Afghani people yearning to breathe free were borne to Freedom's safe embrace. It will be remembered that they reached that farther, brighter shore to join us in Freedom, under the Uplifted Light of Lady Liberty and with the Resolute Guidance of our Great and Faithful President, George Walker Bush. Americans and MidEast citizens will be thankful that such a providential man gave his full measure of devotion, steadfastness and in service of his rock solid belief in the power of the Loom of Democracy and the Value of Liberty as a Gift from God to the human condition.
Thank you, George Walker Bush.

Reagan against Kerry

This is a cool ad! It's like Reagan anticipated Kerry being on the ticket in 2004. Just another reason why Reagan was such a good president and a great American. This also reiterates how Kerry has been on the wrong side of every important issue since he was elected into the Senate.

I'm almost too shocked to type... almost

Okay, if you could see my face right now, you would have a nice few of my chin on my desk. I just can't believe the audacity that some Europeans have. Are we constantly poking our noses into their elections and making fun of those who have the freedom to choose which socialist they want to vote for? No! Charlie Booker, a writer for the British paper The Guardian, is looking for an assassination. This is unbelievable!

What Alabama and the GOP have in common...

I was watching an Alabama game (or attempting to watch an Alabama game when ESPN gameplan decided it didn't want to play) when an Alabama fan gave me an elephant bracelet to wear. Being a good republican she reminded me to make sure the elephants faced the right. I began to have visions of elephants in the wilds on Africa that could only go right. Do you think the animals of prey would catch on after awhile. That thought brought on another thought of my Nanny (no I don't have a nanny, she my Grandmother) who is a democrat, but refuses to make left turns because they are dangerous. Kinda ironic too. Speaking of democrats, there is a while line of clothing with the saying "Democrats are Jackassess".
Well I tend to agree (no offense Nanny).

The rainbow seen here appeared on my way to Texas. I saw it as a good omen!

Rainbows mean new beginnings not gay pride!

I love the rainbow. Not only is there a pot of gold at the end of it, they are such a neat aspect of God's creation. When I was growing us, rainbowbright was a staple in every girls' doll collection. Now I can't look at her without wondering if she jumped my cabbage patch kid when I younger. I want to take back the symbol. I want to celebrate new beginnings without having to wonder if others think I bat for the other team.
